A national charity which empowers blind children and young adults, has partnered with the Partially Sighted Football League (PSFL) to deliver a free junior session at Liverpool John Moores University on Saturday 1 March.
VICTA Sport have joined forces with the university to deliver a partially sighted football session for players aged seven to 16, with participants able to take in a PSFL match afterwards – featuring several England partially sighted footballers.
Daisy Inclusive UK CEO Dave Kelly, who went blind in the early 1990s aged 30, has given his backing to the event.
“It’s really important that the partially sighted have the opportunity play sport at the highest level – whatever the disability they might have,” said Dave.
“Liverpool is a football mad city, and I’m delighted that the PSFL and VICTA have worked together to deliver this inspiring event.”
