Beneficiaries from Daisy Inclusive UK will perform a comedy routine at the Hot Water Comedy Club in Liverpool as part of an initiative to increase confidence and well-being.
Organised by Care Merseyside and Laugh for Life Comedy, the brave participants will take part in a five-week course where they will learn how to write and perform a comedy routine.
Improving skills such as listening, writing and performing are key aspects of the course, which will also see the beneficiaries preparing their own material.
The show will be performed in front of family and friends of the Daisy beneficiaries, with the ultimate goal of stimulating mental well-being.
The likes of Jason Mansford, John Bishop and Russell Kane have all performed at the iconic venue.
Dave Kelly, Daisy Inclusive UK CEO, who went blind aged 30, said: “This is such a great scheme for our beneficiaries to improve their confidence through the power of laughter.
“The course will enable them to unleash their creative juices and prepare a show that will be funny and engaging for the audience.
“This initiative is yet another example of how organisations in Liverpool are pulling together to promote inclusivity, and I’m proud that Daisy Inclusive UK is involved.”
