Ambitious and exciting plans for Daisy in 2025

Daisy Inclusive UK CEO Dave Kelly and Project Development Manager Phil Leeson are looking ahead to 2025 with real optimism as the Liverpool-based disability charity looks to build on the excellent work of last year.

Dave, who went blind aged 30, set up Daisy Inclusive UK in 2004, with the charity helping vulnerable and disabled people and their families across the city and beyond.

Speaking to Daisy TV, Dave said: “I want more Daisy’s around Liverpool and Merseyside, showcasing what we do and how we do it.

“We want to think big, but at the same time, just surviving is good in these strange economic circumstances and social uncertainty.

“We’re always there for people and that’s what makes us great and amazing.”

Activities are already underway for 2025 at Daisy, with a string of exciting events to look forward to, including the Merseyside Inclusive Sports Games (MIST Games), the Viathlon in conjunction with Everton in the Community and the many Mini SMILE Holiday Clubs.

Working for Daisy for over ten years in his position of Project Development Manager, Phil is delighted with Daisy’s progress and is keen to see the charity realise its ambitions in 2025.

“We need to build on what we’ve delivered this past 12 months,” he said.

“We’re continuing to see new people come to us for help and support, and we’ll always be there for them.

“We’ve been at the Daisy Nucleus Academy in Everton for ten years and we’ve spent so much time doing the place up. We’re eking every last bit of space out of it at the moment, so we want to expand our operations with an educational hub, which will help many of our beneficiaries.

“Ideally, we would like another facility to help us grow.”
