Daisy receives £5,000 of funding

Daisy Inclusive UK are delighted to announce that they are one of four organisations to receive £5,000 of funding as part of the ‘Make L8 Great’ programme.

The funding is from Merseyside Police, with our CEO Dave Kelly, having to make a three-minute pitch at the King’s Leadership Academy after succeeding in our initial application.

The community-led initiative in Liverpool is focused on boosting youth engagement, reducing crime and restoring community pride through a number of projects.

Daisy’s project is the Daisy Dingle Youth Project, a youth engagement initiative designed to provide young people aged 10-18 living within the L8 Dingle area with a creative and constructive outlet through podcasting and digital media.

The project will establish a small youth podcast studio where young people can learn to plan, record and produce podcast episodes discussing topics that matter to them and their community. Through weekly sessions, participants will develop confidence, communication skills and teamwork, while creating positive media content.

Daisy Inclusive UK would like to thank Merseyside Police and the King’s Leadership Academy for their fantastic support and we look forward to seeing our project thrive.
