To kick-off Mental Health Awareness Week, beneficiaries and staff have taken time out to share their experiences of their own personal struggles whilst paying tribute to the work of Daisy Inclusive UK in helping them overcome adversity.
Davey, who joined Daisy as a beneficiary before becoming an Assistant Sports Coach, said: “I sadly lost my mum in 2018 and I battled through a lot of depression. I had a lot of demons for want of a better term – she wasn’t just my mum, she was my best friend.
“Daisy has done so much to boost my confidence and help me overcome my struggles.”
Daisy Inclusive UK is a Liverpool-based disability charity, which helps the most vulnerable in the community.
