Daisy Inclusive UK are once again hosting their ‘Dinner in the Dark’ event at their centre in Everton on Saturday 31 May.
Guests will be treated to a slap-up three-course meal whilst blindfolded courtesy of head chef Ian Radcliffe, with the evening designed to raise awareness and foster empathy for the challenges faced by people who are blind or visually impaired.
Daisy Inclusive UK CEO Dave Kelly, who went blind aged 30 in the early 1990s, said: “This is an event on the calendar that we really look forward to, and it is yet another great opportunity to celebrate and raise awareness of those who have a disability – in this case the visually impaired.
“It also underlines the fact that despite having a disability, it should not hamper an individuals’ dining experience.
